Rocco Morrison Coleman was born to his parents a few years into the eighties, but his name still distant in the seventies. No thanks to his hippie parents who gave him one of the most unusual names during his high school career, he learned to embrace it since no one else had it. Rocco grew up in a below middle class family where both parents worked for a living to give them everything they needed and saved up for years before they could do anything luxurious. Was it a horrible way of living? Not at all, they were just fine how they were. There just was not much spending money, that's all. It wasn't as if he needed anything spectacular besides basic needs for elementary school, unless it was the newest Batman lunchbox. It was not until middle school that he begin to notice his hormones taking place and all of that biological stuff the schools or parents try to inform their children. Girls, to him, were there as friends while boys of his age were the object of his affection. No, he wasn't open in middle school, but a boy could daydream in the middle of class.

Like any other boy, he was in close with the guys and had sleep overs, parties, ball games, and video gaming sessions until the boys were blue in the face. As much as he had a crush on one of his friends, there was not a chance with him at all since he was one to have a girlfriend right after he broke up with a girl. It crushed him privately to know he wouldn't have had the chance with his boy or any boy until high school. That is what ultimately landed him as a topic of gossip at one point. A baseball star turned out to be gay after one wrong move in the locker rooms. By law, the coach could not kick him off the team so he made it hell for him by giving him shit for time on the field, the laundry jobs, and working harder than everyone else. Rocco was determined to stick it out to prove a point. Although his parents were upset with the coach, nothing could have proven the fact that he was treated differently than any other member of the team.

That was the last straw, he gave into the enemy, breaking down for them to win the war. It wasn't worth the constant sticky notes on his locker or insults shouted into his ear as he walked by the team. With the stress of sports off his shoulders, he excelled in school and graduated as part of the top twenty-five percent of his class and was accepted to USC, yet opted not to go. After being accepted then graduation, Rocco turned eighteen in June and had to see the clubs. Ever since then, he knew he wanted to be a part of that lifestyle. Somehow he would manage to be something with the gayclub, but nothing happened. The auditions for being a dancer were discouraging when he saw the perfected physique of the men while he was simply average, slightly built. He chickened out and worked out routinely until his body resembled that of those men. Due to a day job plus a man he met hindered that job. His boyfriend, first real boyfriend, occupied most of his time.

The two men were fast-paced while their friends called them fools. They were in love, no doubt about it. They did everything together because there was a second they didn't envy without each other. It was a match made in heaven and then they took the step forward to have a child together. Rocco was twenty-three and his boyfriend was twenty-five. It was a decision that had some thought, but nothing too thorough or planned. The kid came when and they named him Kian Smith-Coleman, Rocco becoming the other father of the boy. It wasn't long until both men were fighting over the boy, the way to raise him, and petty things they wanted him to do in life. Basically, he became a strain on their relationship so for the kid, they ended it for the sake of the child and their relationship from turning even more sour. Now they remain the best of friends trying to get over their relationship which ended about a year and a half ago. Due to recent events, his close ex-boyfriend had turned about to be using drugs. Rocco saw the change in personality, appearance, and priorities that he felt his son wasn't safe in the other man's care. Since he was legally Kian's father, Rocco took his ex to court and after a vile court dispute, Rocco was awarded sole custody of his boy.

Rocco was scared to have such a responsibility now instead of every other week, it was everyday until his ex showed signs of recuperation and cleaning up his unhealthy addictions. Working what seemed like non-stop, in this economy, Rocco was let go from his day job as a highly paid office worker. It wasn't the best job, but it was workable, the benefits were perfect, and the pay was top notch for that level and only increased as promotions came along. However, for extra cash for him and his boyfriend who split the cost of Kian was now solely on Rocco. That's why he kept the dancing job when he had a sitter. Rocco was working one night and ran into a boy named Charlie and he was thrown out for being under eighteen at a club. They started to talk and made an unlikely friendship. They kept in touch, nothing sexual as Rocco was more of an older brother at the time. Charlie even introduced Rocco to his twin brother, Ray over the course of their friendship. After months of knowing each other, their father ditched the twins at Rocco's one night and never came back.

Thus, Rocco assumed responsibility for the two boys on top of his toddler instead of letting the children succumb to child services. It was unfair and he'd grown attached to the boys. They lived with him and even helped him make the move to NYC, specifically Brooklyn, when Rocco was going to get a promotion from the gay club in West Hollywood to a franchise in the city. That fell through because of the economy and he was stuck in a city environment he didn't want. He was a California boy. Rocco, the twins, and Kian all lived together until the twins went to college where Rocco helped by taking out loans for the boys, helping with college applications, and helping them start their own lives. Now he lives alone with his now kindergarten student toddler and himself, working a 9-to-5 office job and sometimes working at the club for extra spending cash to pay off his debt.
